Hi, I’m Gulya!

A data scientist based in New York.

Nice to meet you.

I am a data scientist living Brooklyn, NY. Originally from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, I moved to the States in 2010 for college. I spent the next four years at Williams College where I majored in Economics and Arabic studies. I currently work at Squarespace on the product analytics team and collaborate closely with product teams to understand how our customers are using the product (this site was built using Squarespace!). Prior to joining Squarespace, I worked on product and marketing analytics and experimentation at Betterment, and was an economic consultant at Compass Lexecon in Boston.

In my free time I enjoys pottery, learning new languages and traveling the world. Occasionally, I train to run long and/or fun races. I volunteers with Minds Matter as a mentor and a member of the recruiting committee and at DataKind as a data scientist. I am open to collaboration on fun projects and pro-bono consulting.

Sometimes I do data things for fun and write about them on my blog.
